I had it in my mind that I would only talk to one set of intended parents at a time.
I requested an application from an agency, but hadn't filled it out. I started talking to one IM that answered my ad and let the agency idea hold off... except that she followed up and said she might have someone in Virginia. So I sent her some more of my information, fully expecting the agency to either a- never call me back or b- take forever. So, first set abruptly stopped returning my emails and I figured the worst... that she had decided to go with someone else and didn't enlighten me. The agency was supposed to have a conference call with me this week... but that call never came and along with no explanation. So, I emailed the third set of IPs who had answered my ad, but to whom I had not replied.
Fast forward: The agency is still on board; there had been circumstances that prevented the call from the couple.
I emailed the first couple to get a confirmation of what was going on and had they changed their mind... they had not. They were still on board, excited to begin ASAP and were talking to their RE today after some bloodwork. I replied and inquired about the week long silence and no answer to my last emailS. No reply.
The third couple replied once, but hasn't replied again.
I apologize. I really didn't intend to be two-timing any of you. =P
Since we are all n the talking part of things, I will continue to talk to you all until a) you decide to go on with someone else or b) I'm forced to make a decision between you. I hope that will not be hard. You each have your own wonderful qualities and I'd love nothing more than to help you ALL.
The good news is, I did take my ad down so that nobody else fantastically local and wonderful would respond until I have made decisions with the three I have. I feel totally lucky to have you all interested in me being your surrogate. I can imagine my frustration if I had not received any replies at all. =/
Happy Early Mother's Day everyone!
